Wilcox is looking for energetic, hardworking individuals to join our Paint and Finishing team. Full time day for experienced Painter/Finishing Technician in our truck body division.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES:
Summary of Responsibilities:
To be successful in this role at Wilcox, you will provide technical expertise on Wilcox Bodies product, work within deadlines, and have exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills. This role is committed to promoting the Wilcox Bodies product range using proven sales strategies. You’ll be responsible for building positive relationships with customers by generating accurate quotations and sales orders. Who works closely with our Design Team to provide an excellent solution for the customer.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Close and grow sales through professional communication with existing and potential customers.
- Identify and resolve customer concerns; recommending a course of action to alleviate these concerns in the future.
- Prepare quotes to help secure new and existing business opportunities.
- Meet with customers to confirm their needs and preferences, explaining products and services offered by the Company.
- When suitable: initiating the design of customized truck solutions for the customer.
- Determine the best products to meet the requirements of a customer, through solid communication of Wilcox standard equipment, remaining flexible on custom options.
- Liaise with Design on existing and new customer requirements, as well as updates of ongoing review of Bill of Materials.
- Maintain awareness of pertinent customer information, future opportunities and plans, payment performance; communicate any customer details that may affect Company decisions to appropriate departments as needed.
- Demonstrate and explain best practices of manufacturing techniques for Wilcox Bodies.
- Travel to meet customers and support our sales team, as required.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Job Knowledge or Work Experience:
- Technical sales background preferred.
- Manufacturing or design based sales experience preferred.
- 3+ years professional sales experience.
- Strong presentation skills and professional appearance.
- Ability to listen and communicate concisely and effectively.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree + or Equivelent Experience.
- Yellow or Black belt and/or Six Sigma training/designation an asset
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Wears all required PPE when at manufacturing facility.
- Regular exposure to noise/temperature and/or adverse weather conditions/work outside.
- Regular working schedule, day shift.
ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Possess valid drivers license and have reliable car.
- Possess valid Passport and be available and able to travel within North America.
- May be required to work outside of normal working days and hours on occasion.
