OUR STORY

Let’s take a ride down memory lane to 1962 when our founder, Rick Wilcox, kickstarted Wilcox Truck Bodies in the charming neighborhood of Streetsville, Ontario, Canada. Back in the day, we were all about selling Van Bodies, Stake and Platform Bodies, Farm Bodies, and tackling the occasional repair job on demand. Service and Utility Bodies were a rarity at the time.

Fast forward to 1980, when our current owner, John Dick, took the reins from Rick Wilcox. He had a vision to revolutionize the business by focusing on crafting custom steel and aluminum Service and Utility Truck Bodies. And boy, did things take off! Our truck bodies gained immense popularity not only in Canada but also across the border in the United States. John made sure that Wilcox Bodies stayed true to its commitment to manufacturing top-notch truck bodies while providing the best customer service in the industry.

As demand skyrocketed, we expanded our production facility by adding multiple additions over the years. In 2007, we bid farewell to our humble Streetsville facility and relocated to a much larger production facility in Milton, Ontario. The move allowed us to amp up our manufacturing game and cater to a broader customer base.

In 2016, we were honored with the prestigious title of Large Business of the Year by the Milton Chamber of Commerce. We couldn’t have achieved this without our incredible team and loyal customers. Wilcox Bodies remains a tight-knit, family-run business, now under the leadership of John’s son, David Dick. We’ve held onto our small company vibe while never compromising on industry-leading quality and customer service.
