Inside Sales Representative

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES:

Summary of Responsibilities:

The Inside Sales Representative is a great place to start your Sales career at Wilcox Bodies. While assisting the Technical and Outside sales team you will learn our products, markets, industry and the Wilcox sales process and skills. This position will be a key point of contact for our customers and senior sales team to assist in product and application inquiries, expediting the sales process and following through with customer requests.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  1. Assist the Technical Sales and Outside Sales teams
  2. Enter and maintain confidential client information utilizing Wilcox CRM software
  3. Manage customer satisfaction with all customers by delivering the utmost in customer service
  4. Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and parts quotations in a timely manner
  5. Determine customer requirements and expectations, work with internal team to recommend specific products and solutions
  6. Respond to customers via phone and email for quotes, purchases, etc. in a timely manner
  7. Recommend alternative products based on cost, availability, or specifications
  8. Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling and up-selling
  9. Assist in the development of customer presentations, Tenders, and Quotations, for manufacturing and after-market Sales

 

ATTRIBUTES:

Skills/Abilities:

  • Technical, or post-secondary diploma related to the industrial field or equivalent experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, MRP and CRM
  • Responsible and adaptable
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Results-oriented and willingness to always offer superior service
  • Demonstrated skills in planning and organization of work
  • Good team spirit
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to meet sales and commission targets
  • Ability to work under pressure and to prioritize work effectively
  • Ability to listen and communicate concisely and effectively

 

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

Job Knowledge or Work Experience:

  • Technical background preferred
  • Sales and E-Commerce
  • Social Media platforms as asset
  • Advertising and sales promotion techniques
  • Strong presentation skills and professional appearance

Education:

  • Yellow or Black belt and/or Six Sigma training/designation an asset

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Wears all required PPE when at manufacturing facility
  • Regular exposure to noise/temperature and/or adverse weather conditions/work outside
  • Regular working schedule, day shift

 

ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Possess valid drivers license and have reliable car
  • Possess valid Passport and be available and able to travel
  • May be required to work outside of normal working days and hours
